Fostering Civility in the Snohomish County Juvenile Dependency Court

Tim Jaasko-Fisher, Senior Director of Curriculum and Program Development for Robert’s Fund facilitated a 6.25-hour workshop for approximately 50 members of the Snohomish County Juvenile Court including judges, attorneys, social workers, and court appointed special advocates.

Thank you Tim for doing a fabulous job facilitating today! I just wanted to share that my social workers came back letting everyone know how great this meeting was (and rarely do SW’s ever come back from all day meetings energized!)… The social workers came back with a better understanding and appreciation of the different roles and what they can do to make a difference.  And they felt validated and appreciated!

Civility Pays: The Business Case for a Civil and more Ethical Practice of Law

Tim Jaasko-Fisher, Senior Director of Curriculum and Program Development for Robert’s Fund gave a 1.5-hour presentation for Volunteer Attorney Services to approximately 30 people.

The session was part of a larger program offered to attorneys who provide volunteer legal services across Washington State with an emphasis on those serving Eastern Washington. Washington State Superior Court Commissioner Bart Vandergrift served as a special guest following the program and was interviewed about how the concepts presented played out in the local courts.
